Hello everyone!
We hope you had a nice and relaxing long weekend.
These past weeks we worked on lots of things. We finished the second group of sounds in jolly phonics:
/e/

/h/
/r/

/m/
/d/

We worked on the jolly phonics booklet, we played with the active board and we sang along.
We started working on group 3, these are the sounds we know: /g/

/o/

/u/

/l/

We brainstormed on words that have the sounds we have learnt so far, the children came up with many words. Good for them!
We are practising a lot to read CVC words, colours and food vocabulary. Make sure to check the games section, there are new games for you to play. Don’t forget to play “TEACH YOUR MONSTER TO READ”; it will help the kids to read CVC words.

We had mock exam Nº2 and Nº3, we were tested on phonics’ groups 2 and 3.

We’ve been practising for the oral exam. The kids are being trained to answer questions such as:

  • What’s your name? My name is...
  • How old are you? I’m 6 years old.
  • Where do you live? I live in...

We read two stories: “Fat cat on a mat” and “Ted in a red bed”.

We learnt new vocabulary: FRUIT! These are the ones we know:

See you tomorrow!
